Sarah and I work hand-in-hand in everything WE THE BIRDS, but the magic of our partnership lies in our differences. Sarah is the creative genius and mastermind behind all our creative content from web design, blog layout, to image editing and creative direction. I am all the other boring things in between that make businesses run (i.e. finances, operations, communications, marketing...) and the macaron-maker.

SO, when Sarah came to me with another one of her genius macaron ideas – large format buttercream flowers atop moody colored macarons – I paused. I considered explaining to her the endless reasons why this was a challenging request and not a priority amidst other orders and deadlines, but I reconsidered the idea, saw the vision, and said "YES." Then came the fun part where Megan (our newest addition to We the Birds and trusted macaron-baker extraordinaire) and I watched endless Youtube tutorials, consulted with Lala (former Food Network™ Cupcake Wars + Cake Wars Competitor) and practiced countless times piping the exact florals Sarah envisioned. Here they are. And we are beyond happy we accepted the challenge. Love you, Sar.
